The mission and goal, objective is to educate and inform the community members the purpose of this community & youth center. This homepage to be the mechanism of delivering information.

This is a brand new building and a group of volunteers have to make a workable program, do fund raising, develop policies & guidelines for the center. We will need a working Community& Youth Board of Directors.

Development of Youth Council.

One of the main goals of the community board is to develop, train and mentor the youth council. They are the future and will run the community center and if trained right will do a wonderful job for Cat Lake. It all depends on how we influence them. We have the ability to impact people both negatively or positively. To make a organization rise above the standards we have to work really hard with honest motives to eliminate corruption.

Community Web Site Master

We will require a volunteer to constantly post information, messages, updates, pictures as per direction of the Board. We need a web master wizard to make a awesome homepage.

Community Center Executive Secretary

We will require a volunteer executive secretary to manage the office stuff for the community center. They would also record the minutes for Board meetings

COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD

The Community Center has quite a bit of work left before we can have a grand opening and officially start using the center. The furnace,day tank and heating duct work has to be installed. We also need to get the building hooked up with hydro. The inside of the building is 90% complete. We are proposing to have a Xplornet satellite dish installed to give Community Center internet capabilities.

News update on Xplorenet Internet. I was taking to Frank Head,Ostugon Computers and he was telling me that they and Xplornet were proposing to sell a complete package for $499.00  This price includes air fare, installation costs, and cost of dish. This is a savings of  $500.00 and he said he needs a minimum of 3 orders from a community before they can come up. We need to raise or ask for a donation of $500.00 for the Community Center.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Since we live in the north and are accustom to snow storms we should know that one fragile snowflake falling from the sky does not affect anything at all. When the weather puts a whole bunch of snow flakes along with a fierce wind it  makes a wicked snowstorm that people definitely notice. A huge snow storm will just about stop anything for a few days.When we weave the weak strands of our lives together, a rope of great strength is created to accomplish the almost impossible.We should know that in order for things to work effieciently we need many volunteers working together in unity to make things happen. 

We need a bunch of people working /sticking together to make things happen. This is called team work. When we depend on our own strength it breeds an independent spirit.......Lone Rangers. 

Anyway we are requesting that you volunteer and become a single frail snowflake and join the others to really shake things up, make things happen.

We know that we will never and cannot be successful if we don't learn to work together as team.

We need working volunteers to be on the Board and act as Directors. We need as many volunteers as possible to become involved. We need aleast 1 or 2 representatives from each of the various departments.

The goal is to learn unity, work together in making community programs & youth recreational activities. The purpose of the working Board is to provide leadership to make and ensure plans, proposals, fund raising in all areas will benefit our whole community and the youth. The goal is to merge all programs, activities, fundraising, under one organization , and to provide accountability to the community under one working Board. 

We will require a volunteer bookkeeper/treasurer to make available financial statements for accountability to the community.These statements will be posted on the homepage for people to see.

We will require a volunteer proposal writers to write proposals for grants, training programs, funding initiatives that are available from the various government organizations.

We will need volunteers to pool their talents, brainstorm ideas, organize fund raising events for the community center. 

This volunteer request is open to all in Cat Lake.
